VENUES AND ANNUAL TOFFS TRIP
The fixtures and sponsors for the year were decided as follows;
Romiley Jola Blinds Trophy
Shrigley Hall Goodwin Trophy
Vale Royal Abbey Royal Oak Trophy
Stockport Beartown Trophy
Didsbury Captains Day
Regarding the Toffs Trip various suggestions were introduced and there was a
discussion also about the timing of the away trip and whether it should be in
Portugal France or Turkey. lt was finally agreed that the trip should be at Makeney
Hall near Derby on June z8th to 3Oth. and that next year we should discuss going
abroad and possibly in September.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
Surprisingly enough there was no change to the elected officers and the vote was carried unanimously.
CAPTAINS HANDOVER
Unfortunately the Captain Mike Sandbach was unable to attend the AGM because of a serious injury to his hand but he hoped the new captain Mr Steve Costello had an enjoyable and successful year. Steve Costello thanked Mike and assured us that he would.
CAPTAIN ELECT.
The Captain, Steve Costello recommended that Ray Costello be Captain Elect. There was some chuntering from the blue corner but he was warmly welcomed into the post.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
The player of the year was Steve Rimmer.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS.
An old ( I mean previous) member Ivan Taylor was welcomed to the meeting after
a few years living in Portugal.
Vince Crolla requested an up to date list of members in order to reduce the old
mebership list to a more manageable state.
John Gregory recommended that we all try to bring new guests, and so potential
Members to the events.
Chih Hu requested that we contact Geoff Gamett to elicit some favourable
publicity for the Society.
